NYC bans selling Foie Gras at restaurants & groceries!

Mayor DeBlasio is set to sign a bill banning the sale of foie gras in New York City, a delicacy enjoyed at many high end restaurants, starting in 2022. Restaurateurs are expressing their outrage, not to speak of the major producers of the product in upstate New York. It's been a back & forth in California for years now. Do you eat foie gras? How do you feel about this ban?

Foie Gras, Served in 1,000 Restaurants in New York City, Is Banned

Animal cruelty concerns led the City Council to approve the ban, which takes effect in 2022. One chef’s reaction: “What’s next? No more veal?”
