When I was a kid and came to Brooklyn to visit the grandparents, My Grandfather used to bring me to a pretzel bakery/factory, somewhere on the Southside of Williburg. On Sunday mornings we'd buy 'em as they came off the conveyor belt, hot from the oven. Nice crust and salt "pebbles" on the outside and soft, fresh and chewy on the inside. Does anyone know where I could go to get a FRESHLY BAKED NY PRETZEL, from the bakery? By the time you get one from a street vendor, it tastes about as fresh as roasted, salted sawdust!
