NY chef in town for 24 hours

I have one Saturday lunch to by which to experience Chicago dining. I'm all in knots about it because I know that's unfair. Here are the requirements: six people, one handicapped grandmother, mid range in terms of price, and near the Art Institute, wherever that is. Creative, but not over the top, and no ethnic for this crowd (French and Italian don't count).
