Will be taking a train to Bangor and bicycling south to Portmerion and then into Snowdonia at the end of November. I realize that this is an odd time of year for such an adventure but I'm hardy and have waterproof clothes and you take it when you can get it.
Anyway, are there any culinary delights to be had in NW Wales? Right now I'm thinking we will stay in Rhyd Ddu but if there was another place within 40 or so miles of Bangor that had great...whatever...we'd check it out.
Other than leeks, what is Wales known for, food wise?
