There's going to be a "Low & Slow", Barbque Competion, Sponsered by the PI Newspaper and Apple Creek Timber Co. [NW Supplier of Fruitwoods for Que}. There will be 25 teams competing, plus many Nationally Famous Barbque Chefs. This is very unique as there will be something for everyone even, "VEGETARIANS", with a special competition entry of Barbqued Vegetables. Other item's will be Sausage, Triangle Tip, Chicken and Ribs. Starts at 10:00 AM and ends by 3:00 PM. This contest organized proposed by Hsiao-Ching Chou, the "On Food" columnist at the PI. I'm interested in this because I feel that's shes the best Food writer in America. We are fortunate to have her columns every week. There should be more information on this event in the newspaper shortly. I checked with Rick Nage of the Pacific Northwest Barbque Association and they still have several openings for the competition.
