For some reason I decided to take some old nuts I wasn't getting around to eating and turn them into nut butter. They were cashews and pistachios. I believe they were salted to some extent. The butter has a bit of a bitter flavor from the pistachios and is also a bit too salty for normal peanut butter uses. It's also quite dry as I did not add any oil. I only had olive oil on hand and that just seemed even more wrong.
If I wanted to make cookies with this stuff would it work to just up the sugar level? I was hoping to use it for cookies.
Any other ideas, though?
