November 2020 COOKBOOK OF THE MONTH - Nominations

LulusMom | Oct 10, 202005:13 AM     57

Welcome to November’s Cookbook of the Month nomination thread. We’re fully into fall, and still in this crazy situation. Not sure about where you live, but my library is still not fully open. That, obviously, impacts what my personal choices will be. But it won’t stop us from cooking. There are still plenty of websites to cook from, and older books that many of us own. Let’s hear what you think would be fun to collectively cook from.

Whatever you choose, here are the guidelines: You may nominate as many books/sources as you wish. Please make your nominations with the intent of cooking along and reporting, should one of your suggestions become our COTM. In the case of a book, things to consider are the availability of the book, in the US and worldwide; how long the book has been out and if libraries have had time to acquire it; and the cost of the book. In the case of online resources, we might consider whether the source is available without subscription cost (for example by free registration as with the Guardian/Observer site)

To make a nomination, put the title of the book, blog, or Web site in ALL CAPS. Titles not in all caps will not be counted. At the end of the nomination period, we will vote on the most-nominated books/online resources. Nominations will close on Sunday, October 18, at 10 a.m. eastern time. A voting thread will go up shortly after that time.

For a list of past selections, visit our COTM archive here: https://www.chowhound.com/cookbook_of... If you cook something from one of the books on the archive, please post about it. Always fun to see these old posts pop up and remind us of things we’ve made. It can be a nice nudge to make something again.

And don’t forget to check out this month’s thread, where we’re cooking from Falastin: https://www.chowhound.com/post/octobe...
