Nostalgia: chinese duck noodles

Richard Gould-Saltman | Jun 14, 200208:52 PM     1

Camster the chow-pup made me buy him a small package of Thai duck ramen at our local Asian grocery last weekend (it was a quarter...)

The taste of it reminded me of a childhood year in San Francisco, and an old Chinatown retaurant there called the Far East Cafe, now long defunct. One of my parents' favorite dishes there was, on the gringo menu, simply "Duck Noodle". which was in an intensely duck-y stock, heavily dosed with five-spice, and full of vermicelli-sized noodles, topped with a duck leg and thigh.

Can I get this in LA?
