After our slice of Pizza from Coffaro's we took a walk.
Apologize if there is a post for this could not locate.

Nossa Aldeia Portuguese Bakery & Deli
30 Main Street
South River NJ 08882

Did not see a website.

This bakery was wonderful! They had a full assortment of traditional Portuguese desserts, cakes and Portuguese Turnovers - Shrimp - Chicken - Pork. I did not see any Pasteis de Bacalhau (Cod Cakes) but it was late in the day on a Saturday.

Brought home for dessert, a unique pastry which was a crepe, but crunchy, filled with cream, strawberry and kiwi, topped with powder sugar! A Perfect Bite.
WOW! Wish I knew the proper name.

In addition, for anyone that has traveled to Europe, you know we are coffee challenged here in the states. That being said this bakery made an AMAZING cup of espresso.

The people at the bakery were lovely but there was some communication challenges.

There are about 6 tables inside.

It is located two doors down from the European Bakery (They had Kielbasa hanging from the walls here) and maybe four doors down from Krakowiak Authentic Polish Restaurant.

There is Parking around back in a lot, 1 hour/25 cents.

A definite gem in Middlesex County!
