Noshing in Canmore

Hello fellow foodies!

We just returned from a lovely four-day weekend in Canmore. Here's a shortened version of where & what we ate:

Quarry - had a delicious brunch...eggs benedict with pancetta on parmesan scones. The eggs had a deep yellow yolk and the potatoes were crispy and tasty. The scones? Unbelievably good! A bit of a wait for our food though.

Bella Crusta - picked up a large chicken salad sandwich ($7.50) on in-store made foccacia fragrant with rosemary. It was so large I was able to share it with hubby. Also noticed amazing-looking pizzas in the display. This is a must visit place!

Wild Orchid Asian Bistro - had amazingly delicious Crispy Salmon Rolls and a solid mixed plate of sashimi. The presentation of the food and view of Three Sisters from their patio just added a certain je-ne-sais-quoi to our meal. Great service as well!

Crazy Weed - our friends ate here and thoroughly enjoyed their meal. The squash soup and the curry seafood bowl were a hit with them!

Divine Cravings - stopped in for savoury crepes (a smoked salmon & a mexican). Both were made of buckwheat flour and served piping hot... and were yummy... BUT my favourite was the banana & nutella dessert crepe.

Coffee Mine - had a Sicilian panini - it was an ooey-goey-lick-your-fingers-kind-of-good! The pastries, cakes and pies looked great too.

Gourmet Croissant - picked up almond and butter croissants plus a pain du chocolate. All were delectable...the kind of delectable where you find yourself picking up the crumbs from your shirt and eating those too. ;-)

As you can probably tell we did not have one negative dining experience in Camore. Knock on wood. And we're certainly looking forward to our next visit!

Happy noshing in the mountains y'all!
