Yes, that's what this place is called, "Spicy BBQ Restaurant" (helpfully shortened to "Spicy BBQ" on the awning). It's tiny storefront next to Arax Falafel, corner Santa Monica and Normandie.
I just went there for noodles on a tip, and found they have a little section of northern Thai dishes (about 12 in all). I had Northern Thai Egg Noodles (N7, "kow soy"). This was a really good dish, basically a dark curry broth with coconut milk, chicken thigh (you can get beef too), thin flat noodles, spicy preserved greens, plus a garnish of cilantro, red onion, and lime. Very complex flavors to the broth. The noodles didn't travel well in styrofoam, so I won't get it to go next time, but it was still really tasty. Also picked up a huge fruit salad from the cart in the parking lot.
I wonder if anyone else been who can recommend other things to try here. (they deliver w/in 3 miles). I would never have ventured inside which looks like a shabby, generic-L.A. Thai place (actually, you can barely see through the windows) but am glad I did.
