A generous salad, crunchy hazelnuts, sweet sharp slices of pear and salty moist lumps of blue cheese come together deliciously, enlivening the mildly dresses lettuce.
Duck risotto is full of a heady saltiness, bringing out the meaty flavours of duck, in both stock and tender pulled morsels, again very generous with the meat. Enriched with shaved parmesan, and given a refreshing edge by slivers of scallion. The rice might be a tad soft, instead of the pearly hard centres, but it's not important. The dish is delicious all the same.
The caramelized sugar is a little thin on the creme brulee duo, but the flavour of coconut and wild raspberry (especially the latter) were wonderful.
Excellent value, ~$30 for the food. Definitely worth returns.
