North Beach Restaurants on a Sunday

Hubby and I will be in San Francisco on Sunday, 4/17. We won't be getting in to SFO until 2:30pm, and probably not to our hotel in North Beach until 4:30ish (give or take).

Since we'll be pretty tired by the time we settle in, we don't want to go too far for dinner. Also, we're doing the casual thing and prefer not to spend too much money (cheap or moderate prices).

These are the restaurants I've singled out as possibilities:

L'Osteria del Forno
Calzone's (430 Columbus Ave.)
Rose Pistola (532 Columbus Ave.)
Mario's Bohemian Cigar Store Cafe (566 Columbus Ave.)
Caffe DeLucchi (500 Columbus Ave.)
Washington Sq. Bar & Grill (1707 Powell St.)

Yes, it's heavy on the Italian, but I'd be willing to listen to any other type of food (for instance, a burger joint but the burger joint also has to have chicken or turkey sandwiches/dishes). The place can have very spicy dishes but should have some less spicy dishes as well (that's for me - hubby LOVES spicy food).

We'll be staying across from Washington Square on Stockton Street, so I'd say anything within a 3-5 block radius is doable. Although we'd prefer a place that has good beers on tap (at least Anchor Steam; we're beer geeks ;-)), we plan on hitting The Saloon after eating, so it's not as important.

Thanks for your help! Love this site! :-)
