Since the demise of our favorite North Beach rest. (Basta Pasta)we have been in search of a comparable dining experience. With so many touristy traps (Mona Lisa, Stinkin Rose, Rose Pistola etc.) located in the area it's hard to find a unique restaurant anymore. Wherer can we go? We are looking for suggestions in the North Beach area. If any one knows where the chef from Basta Pasta is working please inform. the scallop dish was incredible there and the spaghetti was unbelievable. Any great rests in North Beach (not just Italian) would be appreciated. thanks, bennyboy
