Noon O Kebab

I just returned from Noon O Kebab at the Brown Line Kedzie station, and it is some of the best Middle Eastern and Persian food I've ever eaten. The baba ghannouj was excellent with the freshly baked pita bread. And the main course meal my friend and I each ordered, the Combination Platter, was excellent. The skewer of beef and the chicken were excellently prepared and the meat remained moist and full of flavor throughout the whole meal. The rice and tomatoes complemented the smoky flavor well. I also had a cup of the Persian tea--rich flavor with a touch of mint, very enjoyable. This was definitely a nice change from the Hyde Park Middle Eastern food the normal eating fare that we students at the University of Chicago must endure on a daily basis. Noon O Kebab definitely blows Nile and Cedars of Lebanon out of the water.
