Nook for lunch

ThatPat | Feb 11, 200511:13 PM

I finally got to Nook, since I was nearby at lunchtime. Tried their signature lentil soup with feta and mint and it's fantastic, so good that I got some to go--perfect for a rainy day. Also had the nicoise salad--which has a perfectly cooked large piece of albacore and a very tasting vinaigrette, nice little chunks of potatoes and well cooked green beans. Ate by myself at the bar, which was very comfortable. The prices are moderate. I was impressed how much of the menu is vegetarian and/or healthy-leaning. Oh yeah, my first encounter with boiled peanuts, which apparently is their signature little appetizer--addicting. The wait staff is very sweet and welcoming. I will definitely return sooner than later.
