Noodles at Joe's Noodles -- A Winner

As we've mentioned many times in the past, the actual *noodles* at Joe's Noodles are typically among the worst options there. Don't be fooled by the name of the place -- it's a relic from the previous owners, and the actual name of the restaurant is the Sichuan mountain depicted on the wall.

Anyway, there are a couple of exceptions to the "don't order noodles" adage, for example, the Wontons with Hot & Sour Sauce (W02), and the Moo Shu Noodles (N34).

And last night I finally got around to trying Smokey's favorite, the cold sesame noodles. I'm not sure whether it was N09 (Cold Pasta w/Sesame Sauce) or N12 (Spicy Cold Pasta), but it was cold, sesame, and (very) spicy -- lots of nose-clearing chili oil. It was great. Always trust Smokey. You'll never be able to eat those gloppy peanut-butter-like sesame noodles from your neighborhood joint again after these.
