i was there in the 70's and the food still sounds as good as it was then. i can not believe uglesich's is still there. when i was going to lsuno, i worked for usda downtown and a old man would bring us delivery sandwiches on his bike from there. the trout, yes trout, po-boy was be on compare. fried fresh and on french bread to die for. i just read another post about camilla grill--classic and also to die for. the cheesecake there was ..........plus the waiter's antics are killer, with the straws. and central grocery. well, what can you say? no comparison. if, anyone has ever been to the west bank and had shrimp potato salad, i have forgotten the name of the little deli there, but it was awesome. i will never forget that food
