I am a foodie from NYC, my daughters (17 and 20) are well travelled and somewhat adventurous eaters. It is our first time in New Orleans and we would like to try some classic favorites. My 16yo wants Jambalaya, although my understanding is that this is not a dish typically served in restaurants. Gumbo instead? We do not need fancy, just excellent NOLA cuisine. We will not have a car but are not averse to using public transportation.
Some restaurants that sound appealing -
Bacchanal, La Petite Grocery, Coquette, Mr. B's, Bevi, Peche
