I am going to NOLA for a five day conference. And will dining alone most of the time. I've been quite a few times 30 years ago. I live in Manhattan and am interested in food. More innovative than traditional (Momofuku Ko). I'm staying at the Westin Canal Place.
I've been to Commanders and Galatoire's and don't want a repeat. Definitely want fried oysters.
Nice bar-informal is fine too. excellent interesting food is ideal
What are your suggestions?
I also, if possible need a retail seafood shop that can pack up some crabmeat for my fridge.
