Here's a tip I rec'd from a shy chowhound who reads the SF Bay Area board. How do you rate it?
"I'm following with interest your ramen-rating and agree with your list, although I've not eaten at very many of the places. In fact, I'm inspired to go to Halu Ramen for lunch today, now that I'm writing about it.
If you ever go down south to Los Angeles and find yourself in the San Fernando Valley, I'd like to recommend a ramen house there which my husband I still remember with fondness. It's called "Nippon Ramen", and it's in Reseda. It's very similar to the Halu Ramen style of presentation and cooking. We lived in the Ventura/Oxnard area, and would make a road trip all the way down to Reseda just to eat the ramen there. It was a popular hangout for Japanese students who went to a local university, so it was complete with manga, Japanese movie posters, etc. It has been over five years since we last visited, so I make the recommendation with that caveat. Here is the data, should you ever need it:
6900 Reseda Blvd., #D
Reseda, CA 91335
Open 7 days, 11:45a.m. to 10:00 p.m."
