From chowhound searches, egullet, slow food, and other sources, I have come up with this list for our visit later this month. Would love help in narrowing it down. We want non-fancy-fussy places (no Michelin stars, for example) where we can eat great traditional regional food during our first visit to the city in many years. Moderately high prices ok; wine list not important. Alas, only two dinners and one lunch during our short stay. Prefer places within walking distance of the center of the city. No long taxi rides. (Some of these may be out of central city so will eliminate) We will be there on Friday and Saturday nights. Here is the list I have:
Al 15 (from NY Times)
Gianni alla Vecia
Trattoria del Rosso
La Griglia d"Oro
Thanks so much for any and all help! Our main purpose of going to the city is to eat.
