one night in st paul--report

earlier in the fall i asked for your input for a romantic evening in the cities. we narrowed it down to the niccolett island inn or the st paul hotel, and chose the st paul. we did however spend lunchtime at vincent and it was very good. i had the chinoise salad and chad had the linguini(?) with the soy lime sauce. both were packed with flavor and very well balanced.
we headed over to the st paul hotel and relaxed and then walked to Sakura for a sushi appetiser. we sat at the bar and watched their preparations of very fresh fish. the lobster asparagus roll was excellent. for dinner we chose the st paul grill and just ordered steak. good choice. my bone-in ribeye was perhaps one of my best steaks. chad's peppered sirloin was also excellent. beautiful view overlooking mears park(?) at christmastime and the landmark center, ordway and library surrounding the park.
thank you all for the recommendations we had a fantastic time.
