On prior post I mentioned that I'm a Hound from Chicago who immensely enjoyed recent trip to NYC, especially because of the great Food recommendations on this board....
Anyway, one of our favorite dinners was actually a late lunch pizza at Nick's in Forest Hills. Our recommendation would be to order the Pizza with extra sauce AND extra ricotta. One hound responded they thought this might end up with a "too soggy" pizza.
However...our experience was that the basic Nick's pie has very little sauce, so adding "extra sauce" would in fact probably just amount to "normal sauce" anyplace else. Also the basic pie has mozarella only, and not much of it....so adding extra Ricotta we thought would be a great touch.
Still, we want to leave the impression that we definitely enjoyed the Pizza there and would return, the ingredients are all very tasty and we think you'd be pleased if you haven't tried it.
Next trip we're tasting Emmas in Forest Hills AND DiFara's in Brooklyn, again based largely on recommendations of this board.
