Had a nice time at UVA

Just wanted to let folks know, for those of you looking for a decent place on the UES, that I had a really enjoyable experience at UVA the other night (70s and 2nd ave). The service was incredibly warm (but not solicitous, an important distinction to me), there was a nice wine selection, and the food was very tasty. We shared the bruschetta--the traditional tomato and a goat cheese--the traditional was nice and garlic-ey but not overpowering and the cheese was tasty too. (Normally I don't just order salad for dinner but I wasn't very hungry that night). I had a delicious salad, with pecorino (I think) and oven roasted tomatos and a simple vinegarette. My dinner companion had a chicken dish that he thought was excellent, I don't remember the details because I'm never really interested in ordering chicken when I go out, but it looked good. Was too full for desert but the table next to us looked like they were enjoying theirs. It's a casual place that I'm sure to go back to.
