The post on Ice Cream Jubilee below compelled me to write about the Nice Cream Factory in Clarendon. As a former pint-a-day guy, I'm serious about ice cream, and in my opinion, this is the best ice cream I have ever had.
They make your ice cream to order, using liquid nitrogen. It sounds gimmicky, but the result is extraordinarily creamy. And this is purists' ice cream. They have no toppings, offer no cones, and offer only four flavors at a time. Winners -- and they have nearly all been winners -- include Honey-Lavendar, Lemon, Pistachio, Nutella, Peach, Strawberry-Basil, and Peanut Butter.
It's on Clarendon Blvd., across the street from Crate and Barrel, where Red Mango was.
