Anyone know the real scoop on the Newport Steak? As best as I can tell, both Pino's and Florence Meat Market claim to have "invented" this cut (or at least the name for it). More importantly, where does this cut come from and what other names might it go by? I've asked Pino a few times, but he won't say. I'm also curious to hear anyone's thoughts or preferences regarding Pino's, Florence, and Ottomaneli's. I rank them in that order (at least for beef).
