I've been a devoted user of my Third Edition (2001) of Sharon Tyler Herbst's great Food Lover's Companion reference book. But recently noticed that a new edition was released in the past year or so. I was curious if anyone familiar with both these editions might have feedback on how much different the content is in this new edition? More than just the occasional added entry? I just realized my copy doesn't even have phô, so perhaps it's simply time to upgrade. I'm sure a lot more's been added to the culinary lexicon in the past 7 years.
