I read about Chowhound in the Tribune recently -- you sound like my kind of people. So I'm hoping you can help me find the ideal place for lunch with a dear friend, who I haven't seen for a couple of years.
He's coming to Chicago in a couple of weeks, and our only opportunity to get together is for a late lunch (2-ish)on a Friday.
We need something "inexpensive" (although he hasn't given me any parameters for that), but yummy. A little bit of atmosphere, and at least civil service would be great, also.
Anywhere between the Wrigley Building and Wrigley Field is fair game, with proximity to public transportation a plus.
One of his few failings is a lack of enthusiasm for Asian food, we're both allergic to shellfish, but otherwise, go nuts.
Are you up to the challenge? I look forward to seeing what you suggest, and I promise a report afterwards.
Thanks so much,
