We went to the "Heart of Italy" fest on Oakley, and I found what I consider to be very good thin crust from Ignotz (it's next door to Bacchanalia)-- very thin "cracker"-style, thinner than Pat's. Cheese had plenty of flavor, sausage had a mild-yet-distinct fennel flavor, sauce had the right balance of sweetness and acidity. No ingredient- sauce, meat, cheese, crust- dominated the pizza, so nice balance. They serve it in wedges, not the Chicago-style "squares", at least for their street stall.
I've never seen any mention of this place here, but it's definitely worth trying.
After our Festa experience, we detoured to Mario's for some refreshment. I almost wish their lemon ice was slightly sweeter, but that didn't stop me from consuming it like a smack addict.
