Nycer asked about the Neptune Room a day or two ago, but I'm posting the reply as a new post so it won't be missed. My husband and I were there with another couple a month ago and we all thought the food was for the most part terrific, the place is pretty, and the service was fine. Only downside was that it was quite noisy, but it was 8:00 on a Friday night. Some things we loved: from the "bait bar" (a list of $6 small plates),raw scallops with chili/cilantro/cumin/lime; cold out-of-the-shell mussels with tomato/capers/garlic/pinenuts; wild striped bass with savoy cabbage (a special that evening); parmesan crusted skate; cioppino. The wild salmon with blueberries/dijon/dill was good but not as good as other dishes, and the bait bar octopus with tomato/parsley/green olives was okay but not special. All in all, we thought it was a very welcome addition to the UWS.
