Nepalese Restaurant in Newport News

CulinaryShutterbug | Dec 31, 201504:41 PM

If you are adventuresome and want to try something different, try Aago in Newport News. Its located behind the IHOP at 11745 Jefferson Avenue. The staff is very friendly and happy to help in any way. They gave great recommendations and helped me understand what is traditional Nepalese food. We had the Sekuwa as an appetizer (lamb with herbs and spices). Then we had chicken momo (dumplings) and the chili mom (fried dumplings in chili sauces) and they were outstanding. We preferred the chili more but they both scored. Add in the mango lassi as a drink and we were quite satisfied. If you go, let me know what you think!
