Italian chowhounder with a long west coast experience will be spending some months in Cambridge and I would love to have the occasional Neapolitan style pizza. I tried Posto in Somerville, and they are not quite there, but I was there very early so maybe their oven was not at temperature yet. I will give it another shot but there was too much cheese and probably oil in the sauce.
For reference, the best pizza of this kind I have had in this country is at Prova (new spot in NYC).
By Neapolitan, I mean not crunchy, thin in in the middle, thick on the edge etc... if you have been to Naples I am sure you know what I am talking about (My personal preference over there would be say Michele over Sorbillo, but anything remotely resembling either would be a dream). If not, you may or may not have had the real thing, depending on the advice you got.
I know I am being very picky, sorry, I am obsessed with pizza and I lived the last 10 years far from any good pizza. After having a great one in NYC I thought maybe there is a good one here too?
