NC State Fair: ISO Collard Sandwich

ToothTooth | Oct 22, 201508:35 AM     7

So after living in the Triangle for 15 years this might end up being the first year I've ever attended the State Fair. To prepare for the food part of this potential outing, I was recently reading the article in Our State magazine about the best sandwiches in NC and one sandwich in particular seems especially unique and appealing to me: THE COLLARD SAMMICH!

Anyone know if this thing is available anywhere on the fairgrounds this year? I know that the sandwich is often available at street fairs and festivals down east, but I was hoping a vendor selling these sandwiches might have taken up residence in Raleigh for the State Fair this year.

If I can't find the sandwich at the Fair, I'm definitely planning to make some at home very soon.
