Nasty Battered French Fries

Pitbullchow | Dec 28, 201601:08 PM     13

What is this horrible trend of restaurants serving these French fries that are either called; Battered, coated or seasoned ? What happened to the good ole fashioned all potato French fry ? Upon doing a little research, it seems the restaurants are pushing this trend because they are cheaper. They don't even taste like a potato whatsoever. My research revealed these new fangled fries are no where near all potato. The have just enough potato in them to claim they are from real potatoes, but actually are loaded with fillers such as corn starch, soy, flour, chemicals, etc.
I got to the point now, I ask what kind fry they serve, the wait staff says they are real fries and when my food is served, more than half the time, they are these nasty things they push off as real fries. I never return to these places and I wish everyone would speak out against this.
