I'm traveling to Nashville in a couple weeks to run the Country Music Marathon and have planned to spend a few extra days in the city to explore and, of course, eat. I'd be grateful to the Nashville experts on this board for their feedback on my plans and ideas about other places to go.
Having scoured this board for places that serve good chow, I've got a couple reservations. For my Friday carbo-loading dinner, I'll be heading to Sole Mio. And for my Saturday night post-race celebration, I'll be stuffing myself at Zola. (I wanted to go to go to Boundr'y, but the prospect of waiting a long time for a table, especially on a weekend when the town will be flooded with tourists, seems too daunting for an evening when I'll be famished.)
I've also got notions to visit...
- Rippey's for BBQ
- Monell's for traditional Southern food
- Swett's or Arnold's Country Kitchen or Sylvan Park for a meat-plus-three
Are there any other places I shouldn't miss? In particular, is Sole Mio my best bet for a quiet place to get a good plate of pasta?
Although I doubt any of my meals will qualify as chow finds, since all these places are well known, I promise to report back on how it all goes.
