Narrowing down New Orleans restaurants

ickymettle | Sep 4, 2017 07:28 PM

My wife and I will be traveling to New Orleans in a few months to celebrate our 5-year wedding anniversary and her 40th birthday. We will be there for 3 days and 3 nights, thus we will have 3 lunches (or brunches) and 3 dinners. We plan on doing brunch at Commander's Palace on Saturday. On one of the days, we will probably leave lunch open and do something on a whim. Therefore, we are trying to narrow things down and make decisions on where to eat for 3 of our dinners and 1 of our lunches. As of now, we have narrowed it down to Coquette, La Petite Grocery, Sylvain, Herbsaint, and August. We need to figure out which one of those to cut from our list, and which one of those would be a good spot for lunch vs. dinner when considering all of them. What do the New Orleans chowhounds recommend?

If anyone has any other suggestions, we are open to consider those as well. Thanks!

Herbsaint,
Sylvain,
La Petite Grocery,
Coquette,
Commander's Palace
