Restaurants & Bars

Napa is nice

Had a very good dinner at the Napa Valley Grill after not having been in a very long time. Glad to see it has had staying power as it's one of the nicer restaurants in the neighborhood. It didn't seem very crowded for a Saturday, but it was early. We ate at the bar so we could watch the Dodger game on their Big Screen TV...nice. We shared the shaved artichoke salad with polenta which was disappointing as I was expecting more like the italian style with large pieces of artichoke. Hubby had Cioppino which had a good flavor of fennel and nice selection of shellfish and fish. I had the Halibut with tomato and eggplant which was delicious. Hubby had two cocktails and I had a wonderful Girard Shiraz. They have a selection of wine flights that looked fun to try and wine dinners. Our total bill $103, not cheap, but a nice relaxing dinner in walking distance.
