After looking forward to this restaurant for so long, I have just checked out the newly posted menus for next week, and each of the menus for two possible days we can eat there manage to include something I detest! One day has a fennel salad (I can't bear anything licorice-y); the other has a Gorgonzola vinaigrette on the appetizer (can't stomach Gorgonzola). I'm honestly not a picky eater, in fact those two items plus blue cheese, sushi and soft boiled eggs are the only things on my "do not eat" list! Does anyone know if the restaurant will make any substitutions at all, if not of a whole dish, then of a dressing? (I'd call to ask, but hate to start out the relationship sounding like a pain in the butt. And I'm afraid they'd just offer me the alternate of the day: blue cheese sushi garnished with a soft boiled egg! ) Or should I simply stay away on the assumption that this place and I are just not on the same wavelength?
