Naha - the most memorable part of the meal was...

...the check, $200 per couple. Ouch.

For that tab in Chicago, you better have superior service - not a harried waiter who's acting like he's in the middle of running a triathlon. They've been open long enough to be past the growing pains stage, how bout hiring some more staff?

Food was very pretty. Foie gras "seared to perfection with apple/onion compote/reduction..." Beet salad with chevre. Roasted "organic/free range/mashed potatoes/reduction/whatever" chicken. Halibut, Beef Tenderloin, all the usual suspects.

Nothing wrong with that mind you. But if you're going to go toe-to-toe with everyone else serving Contemporary American on the street and charge top dollar you should be plating something extraordinary, not just very good.
