[Mystic] Sea Swirl

It may well be the quintessential style of clam shack. Order lunch at one window, collect it from another, eat it at one of the benches adjacent to the car park.

So, that was two clam belly dinners, thanks very much. And an order of onion rings. A goodly sized portion nof clams, in a light crisp batter. Decent fries, the onion rings a masterclass in the craft of making onion rings – winde rings of onion, light batter , fried to a perfect crispness. Absolutely lovely. My only gripe is that the “small” order is, indeed, quite small.

And there’s good coleslaw to go with everything. And a tartare sauce that was fine but could have done with more piquancy. And “help yourself” dispensers of ketchup, mustard and sweet pickle.

We went away very happy bunnies.
