The Mystery of Caffe Luna (on Melrose)

Mr. Taster | Jul 11, 200402:31 PM

About 2 years ago, I visited Caffe Luna (7463 Melrose) on a friend's suggestion. The food/service was unremarkable, though the ambiance of an outdoor Spanish/French cafe courtyard was charming.

A few days later I realized that they accidentally overcharged my card by $20. Over a period of 2 months I argued with the owner and accountant, and eventually had the difference refunded as well as a $40 gift certificate mailed to me.

A few months later, I returned to Caffe Luna to use my gift certificate, and it appeared to be closed. There were other people there as well, who were confused by the closure.

Does anyone know what happened to Caffe Luna? Is anything else now in that space?
