Wanted to review a wonderful restaurant up in Mt. Kisco that my husband and I visited last night. It is Myong Gourmet on East Main. The ambiance is wonderful and the simplicity of the main room is soothing to a New York City dweller. Upon sitting down, we were served grilled pita bread with fabulous spreads which I couldn't stop eatting. I usually don't find these freebees enjoyable but surprise! I had a delicious grilled caesar salad for appetizer and my husband throughly enjoyed the lamb sliders-something he had never had before (leaving nothing on his plate to let me taste!)
I had another appetizer as my main course (having eatten too much of the spreads and breads). I had the butternut squash ravioli. Mouth watering - light and filled me up leaving enough room for the fantastic deserts we were about to share. My husband's main course - duck - was succulant and once again - nothing left for me to try - how could he! So far beyond enjoyable. The deserts were brought to us while our capucino's were still hot (something I have yet to see at other establishments in NYC), and WOW!!! Between my husband and myself, the apple cobbler with ice cream was gone in 60 seconds - it was way beyond anything I have ever eatten and the decadent chocolate desert didn't last too much longer. All in all a special delicious meal that Steve and I will certainly go back for seconds, thirds and probably fourths.
