This wonderful fish market opened a couple of days ago on Parliament, just north of Gerrard. Owner Mark Moore seems really passionate about fish and seafood and the ethical sourcing of it, and gained a tremendous amount of knowledge while working front-of-house at Rodney's Oyster House for many years. (He's also a trained chef.) On offer today were many varieties of glisteningly fresh whole fish and filets, as well as nine types of oysters: Malpeque, Raspberry Point, Malagash Thrumcap, French Kiss, Standish Shore, Kumamoto, Beach Angel, Kusshi, Fanny Bay. And the Willy Krauch smoked salmon (from Nova Scotia) they sell is divine.
