Mustard's-continues 20 yrs with intense satisfying food.

Had very satisfying meal at Mustard's Restaurant in Napa Valley on Highway 29. Crowds continue at this popular place which has been a success for 20 years, so make a rez. Despite chaos at the door, we were seated in 10 minutes from early dinner rez time (from Open Table) and enjoyed a wonderfully intensely flavored meal of two Special Corn Chowders with bacon=lighter then the name implies, but with richness and depth to the broth filled with corn, potato cubes and bacon. Terrific. Also had signature Hangar Steak with onion "jam" and mashed potatoes (substituted for french fries --also good) and Special Halibut. French baquette warm, crusty and plentiful. With one draft beer, meal was most reasonable $47. Look forward to returning, but must say due to crowds that were just coming in as we departed, would recommend earlier rez instead of late night and/or mid-week for more relaxed environment.
