Munching across Paris

guide boy | Feb 2, 201906:32 PM     7

We will visit Paris the last week in April with a 10-year-old in tow, staying on Rue Popincourt in the 11e. Our 9-day mission is to soak up maximum Frenchiness: striding and Velib-biking across the city; regular dosings of coffee, bread, pastries, chocolate, cheese and charcuterie; grazing for picnic treats at markets and traiteurs; sitting at cafes, casual spots and wine bars (al fresco, when we can); and testing the little one’s patience a few times for creative modern and trad fixes.

I’ve been lurking here and elsewhere, and would appreciate all opinions about what we should add to or drop from the following:

Markets: d’Aligre, Bastille (poulet crapaudine), Popincourt, maybe President Wilson
Bakeries: Maison Landemaine; Tout Autour du Pain, Poilâne, Ble Sucre, Boulangerie Bo, Vandermeersch (Friday kugelhof)
Cafes: Ten Belles, Aouba, Hollybelly, Coutume
Sweets: Cyril Lignac, Mokonuts, Benoît Castel, Sebastien Gaudard, Stohrer, Jacques Genin, Pain de Sucre, Popelini, Pierre Hermé, Gerard Mulot, Franck Kestener, Gregory Renard, Philippe Teillet, Philippe Contoncini, Henri le Roux, Des Gâteaux et du Pain
Ice cream: Clásico Argentino, Pozzetto, Berthillon
Charcuterie/traiteurs: Caractère de Cochon, Ramella, Myrthe, Jeanne B, Le Grand Epicerie, Arnaud Nicolás, Gilles Verot
Fromageries: Lefebvre, Hardouin-Langlet, Jouannault, Barthélémy
Sandwiches: CheZaline, L’Epicerie du Verre Volé, Caractère de Cochon, Chez H’Anna or L’As du Falafel, Man’Ouché, Urfa Durum
Crepes: Krügen, Creperie Bretonne Fleurie de Lepouse du Marin, Bretons Creperie, Breizh Café
Caves, bars, small plates: La Fee Verte, Caves du Prague, Caves du Reilly, La Reine Mer, Paris Pêche, Clamato, Le Piston Pelican, Le Barav, La Pointe du Grouin, L'Îlot, Juveniles, L’Avant Comptoir (x3)
Modern: Virtus, Café du Coin, Botanique, Yard, Le Desnoyez, Mensae, Patchanka, Sellae
Trad: Chez Dumonet Josephine, L’Assiette, Les Bon Georges, Bouillon Pigalle

We are not sure what to do Easter Monday - might Cafe du Coin or Botanique be open?

Merci beaucoup, ya’ll!
