A quick search for Burmese food in London led me to the website of Mum's House. I stopped in today - it's a small shop inside a little mall next to Turnpike Lane tube station. I spoke to the owner, who is Burmese, and he showed me the shelf full of Burmese imported products, and the refrigerated section with several flavors and brands of pickled tea leaves.
I gathered from the website that there used to be a restaurant, but he said they don't have it anymore. But they still do make prepared Burmese foods to order, and they deliver. More info on the website: http://www.mumhouse.com/index.asp Looks like they can make a pretty large variety of foods, and also can cater events.
Does anyone else have any experience here, either shopping or eating the prepared food?
I'm quite excited about this, and will definitely be reporting back
