Multi-batch steak searing without burning fond for pan sauce?

I think I just may be wanting too much but I love a good sear (and even a little char) but I also like a good pan sauce. I often have to cook in two batches for my whole family so that increases the time that fond is on a hot pan. Anyone have tips/tricks for getting the best of both a great sear but an unburnt fond (especially after multiple batches)? Thanks!
