A new spot off the beaten track, Mule Cafe and Wine Bar at 67 4th Ave., Bklyn has gotten zero coverage on the board thus far. That ought to change. I just went on Monday and had the best macchiato of my life. Thick, rich, complex, almost an espresso pot au crème. This, I thought, is what I always knew an espresso should be! Better even than the one time I tried Cafe Regular, though I admit that's unfair. Mule's beans are Caffe Vita, a Seattle-based roaster.
