Need Muffin Help

I want to customize some muffins using non-white flour and will also be sweetening them (minimally) with Splenda. Is there any sort of rule about how much white flour I can replace with whole wheat flour, oat bran, oatmeal etc? I hope to maintain a decent texture. Thanks.
